JACK WHITMORE | ARTIST/TEACHER

I'm a print-based artist with an interest in the Digital. I believe that Art is a process of experimentation across all disciplines, driven by collaboration and research informed by both ambient culture and theory. 

As a Teacher, I want to not only provide students with the skills to realize their ideas visually, but to also provide them with the tools to better understand the world we live in, to think deeply and critically about what happens around them and the impact their actions can have. Art has meaning, and can provide understanding beyond the superficial.

Having commenced the Masters of Teaching at Melbourne University in 2017, my intent is to continue to develop not only as a Teacher but as a practicing Artist/Researcher working toward bringing a trans-disciplinary approach to education. All things are connected, it's when the intersections are identified that Learning is achieved.
